How to downgrade the Power Automation solution new version to older version

The current version of the Power Automate solution deployed in the production environment needs to be reverted to a previous stable version.

Since the Power Platform does not support direct downgrading of a solution version, the recommended approach is to import the previously exported solution package (.zip) containing the older version. If the currently deployed solution is managed, the existing version will need to be removed before importing the older version.

Kindly confirm if the previous solution package is available so that we can proceed with the rollback in the production environment.

Please let me know if any additional approvals are required before performing the downgrade.

    Hi,

Power Platform does not support direct downgrade of a solution once a newer version is imported, especially if the solution is managed. To revert to an older version, you need to follow the rollback approach using the previously exported solution package.
You can try the following steps:
    1. Verify that the older solution package is available
Make sure you have the exported .zip file of the previous stable version. Without the older package, downgrade is not possible.

    1. Check solution type (Managed / Unmanaged)
      • If the current solution is unmanaged, you can import the older version with the correct version number.
      • If the current solution is managed, you usually need to uninstall the existing managed solution before importing the older one.

    1. Delete the current managed solution (if required)
      - Go to make.powerapps.com
    - Solutions →
    - select the solution
    - Delete.
( Ensure there are no dependencies before removing it.)

    1. Import the older version of the solution
      - Go to Solutions
    - Import
    - select the previous solution .zip
    - import and publish all customizations.

    1. Check dependencies before rollback
If the newer version introduced new components, they may block uninstall.
In that case, remove dependencies first or rollback related solutions in the correct order.

    1. Perform rollback in lower environment first
It is recommended to test the downgrade in Dev / UAT before applying in Production.
Since Power Platform does not provide native version rollback, importing the previous solution package is the correct and supported approach. But yes also ensure required approvals are taken before uninstalling a managed solution in production.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

Deleting the existing solution and reimporting the older one won't erase the data?
