Kindly mention if we can execute Office Script with Business Rules in excel using PAD actions , or is the cloud flow only the way to do it?

If there's a way kindly brief the process, also my 2nd query can we execute the Office Script with Business Rules in excel using PAD on the downloaded excel files? on our local machines.

Hi @UserCflows_12

I believe currently no direct way of running OfficeScripts in the Desktop flows

Either you need to run it via the cloud flows OR

write a Macro similar to the OfficeScripts and then use Run Excel Macro in the Desktop flows

As per I know office script is only executed on cloud flow , in PAD there is no native action available
to execute the office script.

( if you got solution you can mark as solution and gives thumbs )

Kindly mention in that case, is cloud flow reliable as desktop flows to implement this kind of solution for a project? or which is more reliable , so accordingly we can pickup the option

Hi @UserCflows_12

It really depends upon the entire process you have.

1) If you have entire process depends on interacting with the local system then for sure you need to go with the PAD only

2) OrElse if you have the process is entire online and no inteaction of the desktop related things then you can choose Cloud Flows

3) But there is a mix of actions requirement then you can go ahead with Hybrid like part of actions on Cloud and another part in Desktop(PAD), but for hybrid implementation you need to have the Office Script to run in Cloud and Macro to run Desktop flow

You choose above what type requirement you have in your process
