Debug/Testing Feature

I'm not even sure you take/read feature requests, but just in case someone sees this, it seems like a great idea. Even if implemented differently.
I do understand there are workarounds as there is for anything. I've used Power Automate for many years and love it. I really like the new editor ui too.

Testing Mode
For testing/debugging, it would be very nice to be able to go to "settings" for any action that returns a result, and set a "test" value.
Then, at the top of the flow, in edit mode, there could be a test/debug toggle. When your flow is in testing mode, it will use the test values instead of what is actually needed for production.

This seems like a simple, low-risk testing implementation.

Thanks!

Good news, most of what you're describing already exists, it's just a bit hidden. It's called Static results. On any action that returns a result, open it, go to the Testing tab, and turn on Enable Static Result. You set the mock output you want (switch to JSON mode for the body), and when the flow runs it skips that action and returns your test value instead. A banner shows while it's on, and those runs are flagged in history. It works on most actions.

So you can do the core of your idea today. The one gap is that it's per-action, not a single test/debug toggle at the top of the flow, so that global on/off switch is still a fair thing to ask for.

One tip: the community forum isn't really where the product team picks up requests. Post it on the Power Automate Ideas site (ideas.powerautomate.com), where they actually review and people can upvote. Mention Static results in your post so it reads as "make the existing feature a global toggle," which tends to land better.
    Good idea, hope this helps.
