Hi,

I have the setting enabled on my SharePoint list to create a new barcode for each record when added. I would like to pass this through a flow and populate it onto a microsoft word template, can someone advise on how to do this please?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @AlexEncodian ,

I have an image working on the template already, this image is passed through from the form which is submitted on the app. However, I am unsure how to do this with the flow as the barcode is generated from SharePoint after the record is created?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @AlexEncodian,

The barcode isn't stored as an image in the SharePoint list. The URL is like this below:

    https://xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/xxx/_layouts/15/barcodeimagefromitem.aspx?ID=xx&list=x-x-xx-xx

I have tried uploading a file from URL but I get a 403 forbidden error?

    Thanks in advance.

@BS10 - have you tried this? Getting the image from the URL?

@AlexEncodian - Apologies, I can't see that property in Power Automate?

It could be that your organisation has turned it off. Note, its also a premium action so you need premium licensing.

I'm not a SharePoint expert...perhaps someone else can help you work out how to retrieve a URL without the HTTP action.
