My goal is to create a recurring or scheduled (M-F) flow where data from a table is scraped from a webpage and written into an existing Excel spreadsheet. The scraped data need to be entered in specific columns and rows. I am have an run error "Failure to Write to Excel". Please advise where I am going wrong and what the steps I can take to accomplish my goal.

    Hi @Stephmeta

In line #6, you are writing the %ExcelInstance% to the sheet hence it is throwing an error.

Since your data is in %DataFromWebPage% coming from Line #3 you will need to use this variable.

    Hi @Stephmeta

    NOPQR cannot be a column.

You need to select one column.

Thank you. that fixed the error. Please advise how to write the data across columns (ex. N O P Q R )? Does each column have to to have its own flow?

    @Stephmeta

If you are having a datatable of 4 columns and you are writing it starting from a single cell (eg A1) then all the contents of the datatable will be spanned across all 4 columns of the sheet A, B, C, D.

If you have a different requirement please share screenshots of how the datatable looks like and how do you want the output to look like.

As requested here a screenshot of the database. The data in the spreadsheet goes from column A to X. Per your instruction I could only enter one column in my flow. so now when the data is written in the spreadsheet it is listed in the one column stated in the flow and is listed vertically when I I wanted listed across columns NOPQR.

    Hello @Stephmeta

I have also requested for the datatable which you are using to write to this Excel.

This is the link https://www.bloomberg.com/professional/product/indices/bsby/ . The area in red is the data I want written into Excel.

    - Use Extract Data from Webpage

    - These are the selectors you would need (Add the ones as shown in Extract data from webpage window below). The preview of the records show up in the Live web helper window.

    - These are the only 2 actions you would need.

    VJR_1-1658895489380.png

    - After running the process the DataFromWebpage datatable will contain records as below

    VJR_2-1658895549632.png

    - Now you can use a For each to loop through the datatable.

By the way, if you don't want the first column you can simply remove it from the selectors.

Then straight away write the single column to the specified cell in Excel (without looping).
