When a Power BI dataset refresh completes

Hi Experts,

I remember there is one trigger called as "When a Power BI dataset refresh completes". But when I want to create a run a power bi query after a dataset refresh. How can I know when the dataset refresh completes?

Hi @simontaylor305 ,

Add email notification action after Refresh a dataset action. Whenever the dataset gets refreshed, you will receive email.
You can create Excel log as well if required.

Thank you Kaif for your reply.

My purpose for this scenario is:
1. use this trigger to trigger a job to run a DAX try to get some data from a dataset.
2. export the data to csv file
3. use ADF to load those csv file into my DB

But I have to setup a trigger by myself with fixed time. I want to setup a trigger with "When a Power BI dataset refresh completes".

There is a trigger for PowerBI called "When a data-driven alert is triggered." You can create an event in PowerBI that triggers when the data is updated and use Power Automate to sends the email/add actions.
