Hello,

I am new to the topic of flow and am in the process of building an empowerment workflow for teams. I always get errors on the second approval step.

Maybe you can help me?

Thanks a lot2020-04-09 22_17_49-Run History _ Power Automate - [InPrivate].png2020-04-09 22_18_46-Edit your flow _ Power Automate - [InPrivate].png2020-04-09 22_19_47-Edit your flow _ Power Automate - [InPrivate].png

    Hi Daniel,

It appears for the step "wait for an approval" you are using the Team's message ID as the Approval ID. This step is made to connect to an already created approval action in your approval center and continue through the Flow. If you switch the Dynamic content in this box from the Teams "Message ID" to the Approval "Approval ID" It should work. I got a screenshot attached.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hey, Alex,

thanks for the tip. I completely missed it.

I tried it once, but now I get an error in the Team Channel from the Flow Approvel Bot and the workflow hang (This request is not assigned to you."

    Hi!

So, the first problem was solved, right?

THen it means we are close to a happy ending!

Now, just guessing... does current 'Assigned to' email address assigned to 'Start an approval' belong to the Microsoft Teams user that is trying to accept/reject the approval? If not, then this is very likely the reason for the error message

    Hope this helps

    Hello Javier,

I think the first problem is solved.
At the step "Wait for approvel" the wrong "Approval ID" was entered

    On the second problem:
Ah okay, I was thinking you would have to enter the mail from the team channel where the approval step ends up.

In the step "Create an approval" the mail address of me is now entered and I am also the one who has approved the step in the team channel but the step "Wait for approval" does not run any further

Been sitting at the workflow for 3 days now, but I think we are on the right track 😉

    LG Daniel

    Hi again!

"Been sitting at the workflow for 3 days now, but I think we are on the right track"

So you mean you changed the Approvers list some hours ago but the flow execution that is not working as you expected is three days old? Then I am afraid you need to cancel it (since it's eing executed with the old service logic) and reexecute again, with the new logic

    Hope this helps

No, no. Every time I change something, I start a new test run

    the workflow is finally running.

I only changed the object that comes after the IF (first the team message then the SharePoint list update) and created the conditions again2020-04-10 17_18_30-Edit your flow _ Power Automate - [InPrivate].png2020-04-10 17_19_22-Edit your flow _ Power Automate - [InPrivate].png
