Sharepoint site "Alert Me" Notification going away, Need better simpler way to do the same thing

HI

I have a SharePoint site with 28 to 30 different libraries (cities & regions) that have files added to them twice a month. I need something easy and simple to replace the "Alert Me" notification that is going way, as I have Sales that needs to utilize those newly added files to make calls.

When we had the "Alert Me" Notification, Sales can sign themselves up by going into the library and hit the button to alert themselves when a new file is added. However, “Alert Me” is going away, I have tried the integrate > Power automate > create a Flow method, but it seems to be very lengthy to ask my Salespeople to do. I need my Sales to be selling not trying to jump through hoops to do their job.

Is there an easier way to create a notification like process where whenever I add a new file at a specific library and my sales that are specific to that library will be alerted when the new file is added?

I tried using the following template when using the integrate > Power automate > create a Flow method, I even asked a Sales to run through it with me and He got lost doing it. I really need a simple way to get this done so I can do my job of supporting my Sales team. Thanks.

Recent changes to SharePoint without alternatives are extremely frustrating.

Are you able to use SharePoint Rules? This article describes how:

This is a great example of why the retirement is painful. The old Alert Me feature was not powerful, but it was simple enough that sales users could self-serve without becoming Power Automate users.
For your specific setup, I’d probably avoid asking each salesperson to create their own flow. With 28-30 libraries, that becomes hard to train, hard to support, and hard to govern.

    A few practical options:
    1. Try SharePoint Rules first for the simplest “new file added” notifications. If each library maps cleanly to a sales group, this may be the least complicated Microsoft-native option.
    2. If Rules are too limited, have IT or the site owner create centrally managed flows instead of having each salesperson build one. For example, one flow per library or one parent flow that checks the library/folder and sends to the right sales distribution list. That keeps ownership and support out of individual users’ hands.
    3. Use distribution lists or Microsoft 365 groups for the recipients. That way the notification logic stays stable, and sales coverage changes can be handled by updating group membership instead of editing flows.
    4. If users need to subscribe/unsubscribe themselves the way they did with Alert Me, or if you need digest-style alerts, then Rules/Power Automate may still feel like a step backward.

Disclosure: I’m connected with Bamboo Solutions, and this is exactly the kind of scenario where we’ve been positioning Alert Plus: keeping the simple self-service alert experience for business users without asking them to build flows. It’s not the only route, but for sales teams that just need to know “a new file landed in my region’s library,” the replacement should be simpler than Power Automate training.
