Hello everyone, So I am using a flow template that had been working well until today.  The flow is effortless to record responses from a form into a SharePoint list.

The form has five questions, which the first three are asking for a copy and past URL. The remainder is mainly asking the submitter questions about the URL links.

For about a month the flow worked great now issues, today it started to fail with the following error-

The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Create_item' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'item/OData__x0032__x002e_FolderorFileURL' is required to be of type 'String/uri'. The runtime value '""' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'String/uri'.

I have not to change anything to the flow or the SharePoint list can someone please help me understand why I am getting this error

Hi @ggalindo   Can you share the flow for better reference? I am thinking one of the connections in  flow  is failing.

    Hi @ggalindo ,

Does your issue still exists now?

Could you please share the screenshot of the flow and the run history of the flow when it has run failed?

    Best Regards,

    Alice

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for checking and helping me understand this error I was getting. I was able to resolve the problem.

Basically, the error was because two of the form fields were empty, and for some reason, the flow doesn't like to have seen empty fields when recording responses from a form on to a SharePoint list.
The fix for me was to adding and expression on the optional - if(empty(outputs('Compose')),null, outputs('Compose'))
this allows to record the responses from the two optional fields.

    Thank you again, everyone

What do you mean by, "adding and expression on the optional"..?  Where did you add it?  Can you include an image of that part of your flow?

    Hi,

I tried the same and added the phrase but it still fails. What am I doing wrong and how should I fix it?

    if(empty(outputs('Compose')),null,outputs('Compose'))
