Cloud Flow & Network Drive

Hi Guys,

Unsure if this is possible although I need to download attachments from emails which I can do easily via applying specific rules to the outlook connector, my only concern is that the attachments need to be placed on a network drive which isn't my local PC.

Currently a Virtual machine is set up with the access and I have tried entering the information in the file system connector to place the downloaded attachment into the shared drive location although it does not work.

Can someone please provide some guidance on how I can achieve this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Normally you use an On premises data gateway. In the connection you have to select that you want to use this gateway.

On premise gateway on the Virtual Machine ?

When I try to connect to it from the cloud flow though I can't see the gateway.

In the cloud flow you don’t see the onPrem gateway. You are just using it with the connection. You have to select the gateway when setting up the connection.

    For some reason I can't.

Does the installed gateway signed in account have to be the same as the signed in user in the cloud flows?

    This could be the issue.

You can set the permission of each user on the gateway. Sadly also the onPrem gateway has a lot of bugs. For some connectors you have to be admin to use it. If you are admin on the gateway grant the user to use the gateway for the required connections.

Ok will give it a try.

So just to confirm it is possible to access network drives outside the network as long as the on prem gateway has been set up correctly with correct access.

Yes. The on premises gateway allows you to access internal data that normally wouldn’t be accessible from outside. This can be for example databases, apis or in your case file systems.
