I was wondering if the HTTP action is necessarily a premium feature. It is listed under premium connector type, but it is also listed as a built-in connector type.
What differentiates the two? What does it mean for an action to be built-in?
Bonus question: is there no other way to invite guest users (to entra ID) using non-premium blocks?
Some are, and some are not. It depends on the specific HTTP request action you are referring to. This is just a sampling of the HTTP request actions; premium ones are noted below the action name:
In Power Automate, the main difference between built-in actions and premium actions lies in their accessibility and licensing requirements. Built-in actions are standard actions available to all users without any additional licensing requirements. Examples include initializing variables, creating scopes, and using simple compose actions. These actions are typically used for basic flow operations and are included in the free or standard Power Automate plans. On the other hand, premium actions require a Power Automate Premium license or other specific licenses that include premium capabilities. Premium actions often involve advanced functionalities, such as connecting to premium connectors (e.g., Salesforce, SQL Server, and custom APIs), using AI Builder, and accessing Microsoft Dataverse. These actions are designed for more complex and enterprise-level automation needs.
