Set an Approver email from Business Central

Hello Experts,

I want to setup a new approval workflow in Power Automate to approve open Purchase Orders in BC.

However I don't want to fix the approver name or email or anything, I need to get the approver from -for example- the "Approval User Setup" page in BC based on a custom field -for example- "PO Approver" = True (or any table or field; the purpose is not to fix the email in the Power Automate workflow).

Is that possible ?

Thank you,

Regards

    Hello,

I just want to make sure that you understand. Approval Administrators aren't intended to be "Approvers" based on that role. Those are the people that can configure and administrate approvals. These are usually IT people.

Are you certain that you want to have them as the approvers?

    Just checking

    Cheers

    Hi Micheal,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes exactly I know that very well, my question is "not to set" an email for the approver in "Power Automate", I want to get the approver email/name from Business Central.

    Regards,

    Yahya

    Hi

    Sorry I do not understand.

    Your title literally says "

Set an Approver based on "Approval User Setup

So sorry please update your question and explanation as it all says you want to dynamically set the approver based on that role.

    Cheers

Updated it, now it should be clearer.

I am also looking for a way to do that. I do not see any way to retrieve the Approval User Setup from Power Automate. My next best solution would be to determine approvers by Cost Unit in the Purchase Order lines and by total value. The mapping to users, however, would be done outside BC, e. g. SharePoint, which adds complexity.
