Migrate RPA from executing on a local program to executing on a program that is in a Virtual Machine

Hello everyone,

As usual, I come to ask for some help. I tell you.

I have developed an RPA that runs on a program in Local, now we have migrated that program for users to access through a virtual machine and I need to migrate the RPA to run on the virtual machine program.

How can I migrate it? I understand it is related to these images.

This first image is of the program in Local

And this second image is a test I made with a button in the virtual machine, which I understand is how the RPA should look like.

The best approach would be to install PAD on the virtual machine so it runs there, and you will likely not even need to make any changes to your flow.

An alternative would be installing the Power Automate Agent for Virtual Desktops on the VM, so that a local instance of PAD can interact with the UI elements inside an active VM connection (via RDP or Citrix). See here for more info: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/virtual-desktops

If you cannot install anything on the VM, you will not be able to interact with elements inside it from a local instance of PAD. You will need to resort to image recognition and mouse and keyboard actions, which is quite unstable.

    Hello @Agnius ,

In the end it was much easier than I thought it would be. I just copied the code into a .txt and changed where it put appmask to what it put me in the virtual machine (I think it's a shared type, so it's a bit more complicated) and it was much easier.

Thank you very much for the help!
