Approval Information

How can I find out the details of the user who approved or rejected an approval? There doesn't seem to be a column in the "Approval" table which holds this information. I have tried using the "Wait for an approval" activity but since I am not using one flow to create and check the approval I cannot get that activity to work.

Any help appreciated.

The Dataverse Approval table does not directly store the responder (approver/rejector) details in a simple column.

The actual response data (who approved/rejected) is stored in:
    • Approval Responses (child records)
    • Not in the main Approval record

To find who approved or rejected:
Query the “Approval Responses” table in Dataverse and filter by the Approval ID — this is where the responder (approver/rejector) details are stored.

@11manish this helped to isolate the approval but there is no column called "Approver" or "Approved By" or similar. Which field should I use as the value for who approved? There is "Modified", is that suitable?

The correct field to identify who approved/rejected is the Owner (OwnerId) in the Approval Responses table.
    • Do not use Modified—it’s not reliable for identifying the approver.

Thanks @11manish I used the Owner field to get the id and did a lookup to the Users table to get the email address I required.
