failed to find outlook account in power automate desktop

Hi All,

I'm trying to retrieve mails with specific subject and download a user with same subject but it is prompting me Failed to find Outlook account *********

 

error details as below

System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed.

    What are you giving in the Account parameter of this action?

    For the Account Name, use the below section shown in Outlook.

    OR right click on it and Select Data File Properties.

    OR Go to File menu -> Account settings -> Account settings

    Thanks for your assistance. Actually this is what I've input in this section.

     

    The wired thing is this automate can smoothly work when my colleague using the same code but it just doesn't work on mine.

    Are you and your colleague trying to access the same mailbox?

    Is it a shared mailbox or a personal one?

    Can it happen that the PAD on your machine does not have access to Outlook but your colleague has? 

    Are you having issues with other Outlook actions too or just the retrieving of emails?

     I am also facing same issue. I have entered correct email account but still showing failed to find Outlook account and its happening only for retrieving emails not for send email. It was working earlier since last 7 months.

    Just wanted to add my solution since this is where I came looking for one.

     

    It turns out that I had lost access to an additional shared mailbox I was opening from my account settings. I removed it and restarted Outlook and then Power Automate started working again.

     

    Hope this helps someone.

    I am having a similar issue with Power Automate. When trying to retrieve an email from my outlook account (not a shared mailbox) i get the error "Failed to find outlook account". However when i use the send function that works perfectly fine using the same outlook account. Does anyone have a solution for this?
