How to use Power Automate to initiate a VPN connection

Hello guys, how are you?

 

Sorry for the naive question, I'm a simple computer user and I would just like to automate a task.

Every day at 08:00 I need to connect to the VPN at work, and at 17:00 I disconnect. Can you tell me how this flow would look in Power Automate?

 

I swear I tried several ways but none of them could even open the Settings window. It would help a lot to count on your expertise, hugs!

 

PS: VPN is configured within Windows settings, under Settings > Network & Internet > VPN.

    In the SendKeys Action use {LWin}{I} which will open up the Settings screen  (Windows key and alphabet I).

    Then use the Windows recorder to click on "Network & Internet" and then "VPN".

     

    Just tried all of the above steps and it has worked till there.

    Thanks, I wasn't getting along with the tool but I got it now and it worked fine. About running this task on time, can you tell me how I can create this condition?

    Right now scheduling is not available in Desktop Flows.

    But you can call a Desktop flow from a Cloud flow and have your cloud flow run on a specific schedule.

    Thanks @Jerry4 for posting this question, I'm facing a similar question on scheduling an auto-connection with VPN.

     

    Hi @VJR , are there any prerequisites on the Power Automate license for calling a Desktop flow from a Cloud flow? Is the license come with Microsoft 365 Business Basic sufficient for this task?
