Hi,

I have Microsoft Business Premuim plan, i want to use AI Builder OCR connector in Power Automate, I want to know which license I need, knowing that I have 400 invoices per month.

here are the choices of ai builder credits :

1) Power Automate Premium

5,000 AI Builder credits / license / month

Credits are pooled across licenses

Works today only (until Nov 2026)

2) AI Builder capacity add-on (legacy)

1,000,000 credits / month

Only for existing customers (not new)

3) Copilot Credits (NEW model)

Pay-as-you-go or prepaid

Required for new customers

Replaces AI Builder credits long-term

You need:

Power Automate Premium license

AI Builder capacity (Copilot Credits preferred)

Microsoft 365 Business Premium alone is NOT sufficient

Simple conclusion

400 invoices/month = medium usage

Best fit = Power Automate Premium + Copilot Credits (PAYG)

Hi @khedidja90,

Microsoft 365 Business Premium does not include AI Builder credits so you will need an additional license.

you need :

Add a Power Automate Premium license for the user running the flow. This includes 5,000 seeded AI Builder credits per month which covers your 400 invoices.

The exact credit rate per page is in the Microsoft Power Platform Licensing Guide rate card, but 5,000 credits is well above what 400 single-page invoices would consume.

be aware of:
- These seeded credits from Power Automate Premium are confirmed until November 1, 2026 then they are removed.
- Since November 2025, new customers cannot purchase AI Builder add-ons anymore. If you need more capacity beyond the seeded credits, you must purchase Copilot Credits.
- After November 2026 the seeded credits disappear entirely and Copilot Credits will be required for AI Builder features to continue working.

So for now Power Automate Premium covers you. Plan for the switch to Copilot Credits before November 2026.
