SharePoint files showing as "New" and Power Automate not retrieving properties (started suddenly)

Hi everyone,
We’ve run into a strange issue over the last couple of days and I’m trying to understand if anyone else has seen something similar.
Since Wednesday morning (around 8:00 AM), all new files that are being created in our SharePoint libraries are showing as "New" and that status never goes away, even after opening the file.
At the same time, our Power Automate flows started failing when using "Get file properties". The action returns empty for these files, even though they clearly exist (we can see them in the library and "Get files in folder" works fine).
- This started at the exact same time across multiple environments.
- We didn’t change anything in our flows or SharePoint setup.
- It is affecting all our Power Automate cloud flows across different environments (not just a single flow or solution).
- Files created before that moment still behave normally.
- Only new files are affected.
It feels like SharePoint is creating the file, but something is off with the associated item or metadata, because anything that depends on properties is not working.
Has anyone experienced something like this recently? Or is there any known issue around file creation / metadata in SharePoint Online?
Thanks in advance!

Can you please share a screen shot of the "new" thing you are referring to. I have not yet seen this. Also, is your trigger condition when a new file is created? I created a new document in a doc library and do not see the "new" status. I don't know what symbol you'd call it, but I see this with the sparkle lines next to the filename.

That feature has been around for a number of years. If you hover over the symbol, it says New. Is that what you're referring to or have the lines been replaced with the word New instead. If that is the case and it is suddenly impacting workflows, you'll probably need to submit a ticket to Microsoft through your admin center.
