Power Automate Desktop flow stops when the Remote Desktop is minimized | Please guide

Hi Experts,

I login into Client Remote Desktop and work on it.

I have created a Power Automate Desktop Flow, which opens a browser and log-in. PAD Flow is running successfully when I am logged into the Remote Desktop and the Remote desktop is on the screen.

PAD flow fails when the Remote desktop is minimized or closed,

Can you guide me on how to make it run in the background when the Remote desktop screen is minimized or the Remote Desktop is closed.

Please guide Experts/Masters @VJR

    Hey @Anonymous

    I think your doubt is about,

    attended and unattended flows.

    Attended flows are the ones which work when you are logged in and you can see the process in front of you. If you disturb it it will stop and give error. In your case, your flow is an attended flow only.

    Unattended flows are the ones which run in background. For that you dont have to be logged in.

    Unfortunately, with a free license or a normal license, you can only run attended flows and for unattended ones, you have to take an add on license.

    @VJRI hope I am correct?

    That is bound to happen. If you minimise the virtual machine then the flow is interrupted. I have experienced the same with other RPA tools too.

    So as mentioned by @Sundeep_Malik, either use it in attended way manually without interfering or by using the licensed unattended mode that will automatically login to the virtual machine and will run the process.
