hi there, I need to create a multi level approval systems org-wide. there are several instructions on making multi level approval, but only with pre-determined email address, meaning requester cannot input their manager or director's email address. In my case, I need make a common approval systems, so each staff could request to their respective manager and director. Is there any way to perform this task? thanks.

"assigned to" should be user input instead of pre determined.

    There are a couple options.

    1) When using a manual trigger, like for a selected item or triggered by a Power App, you have the option to prompt the user for information to be passed into the flow.  You can ask for one or more approver emails

    2) You can add a Person/group column to the list/library containing the item to be approved.  You can then use that column to retrieve the address of the approver.

I could not see options for user prompted information into the flow. I am using "When an item is created" as my trigger. Which trigger do you mean in number 1?

To supply user input it needs to be a manual trigger, like 'For a selected item'.  The trigger you are using is an automatic trigger.

Your solution works well. One more question if you don't mind, how to deploy the flow for public use? I cannot figure out ways to trigger outside of Microsoft Flow. When I use automatic trigger, the flow will run instantly after an item is added on Sharepoint.

That depends on what you mean by "Public".  Flows that are started manually run in the context of the user who starts the flow, so all those users will need to be licensed.  For Flows that run on a SharePoint library that would include anyone with a SharePoint license.  But that doesn't include the "Public".

Anyway, Selected Item flows will show up in the menu when you select an item or a document in the library.  See the screenshot below.  'Selected File Approval' is a selected file trigger flow.
