how to set sonnet 4.6 in Anthropic (Create a message action)

Hi Team,

We are currently using the Anthropic “Create a message” action in Power Automate, and at this time the available selectable model appears to be limited to Claude Sonnet 4.0 only.

As Claude Sonnet 4.0 is approaching end-of-support (June15, 2026) / deprecation status, we would like to request support for newer Anthropic models, specifically Claude Sonnet 4.6, within the Power Automate connector/action.

The error message is shown like this when I used 'Enter custom value'.
Flow save failed with code 'OpenApiOperationParameterValidationFailed' and message 'Input parameter 'body' validation failed in workflow operation 'Create_a_message': The API operation 'MessagePost' requires the property 'body/model' to be set to one of its defined enum values '["claude-opus-4-0","claude-sonnet-4-0","claude-3-7-sonnet-latest","claude-3-5-sonnet-latest","claude-3-5-haiku-latest","claude-3-opus-latest"]' but is set to 'claude-sonnet-4-6'.'.

Thanks,

    Hi   ,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community.

Power Automate rejects Claude Sonnet 4.6 because the Anthropic Create a message action only accepts models explicitly listed in its built‑in OpenAPI schema, and that schema currently includes Sonnet 4.0, Opus 4.0, and the Claude 3.x family but not Sonnet 4.6, so any custom value outside the allowed fixed list of allowed values fails validation; the only workable options today are to use a supported model such as claude‑3‑7‑sonnet‑latest, request Microsoft to update the connector, or bypass the connector entirely by calling Anthropic’s API through an HTTP action or custom connector.

Microsoft’s official documentation for the Anthropic connector, including the supported model list

I hope this helps resolve the issue! If you need more specific guidance, feel free to ask.
