Email arrives in a shared mailbox trigger - how to set up?

I want to set this up for a shared mailbox where as of now I don't have permisions, nor is set up in my outlook. And that is how I want it to be. 
How do I properly set up this trigger? What exactly do I have to say to my IT team that handles the shared mailboxes?
Or is there a way that if someone who DOES have access, he can set up the connection or something like that? How does that work?
