Automated reminders in Planner - 2 days before due date

Hi all,

I've tried to work this out using previous posts but can't quite wrap my head around it so apologies for a repeat question.

Context: I'm a teacher and I've set up Planner for a work Teams channel where I assign staff to various assessment task processes that they need to complete (e.g., writing a paper, sending it to other teachers to mark etc).

What I need help with: I'm aware that Planner already provides a 7 day notice email but I would also like to Power Automate a reminder closer to the due date (2-3 days in advance). I've tried using CoPilot to create it for me but it doesn't process so I'm clearly missing something and I can't work out how to fix it... I'm happy to do it all from blank if someone can help me out. Below is what CoPilot has made.

The issue in your screenshot is one or more of your items doesn't have a due date, and because the flow tries to convert the time zone of null (nothing), it breaks.
To fix that issue, you should add an extra row to your condition above the row comparing the dates to make sure the due date isn't null.

Hello @JB-25020219-0,

It's falling due to your expression is wrong in condition. Please try below expression.

Expression

formatDateTime(item()?['dueDateTime'],'yyyy-MM-dd') Select "is equal to" formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),2),'yyyy-MM-dd')

Based on this expression, it will send the reminder email 2 days before the due date.
