Save attachments in Teams channel messages to SharePoint document library

I have a Team channel that is used to hold requests for a service.  These requests are emailed directly into the channel (not forwarded from Outlook) and contain an attached referral form.

I want to automate moving/copying the attachment from the channel message to the channel document library, triggered by the creation of the channel message.

I can find templates for moving an attachment from Outlook to a SharePoint library but none from a Teams channel message.

How can I do this?

Sorry, but these posts do not help (and are not the solution).  They are concerned with getting the content from the attachment and using it in something else (email etc) whereas I want to save the whole attachment to a SharePoint document library.

    Hi ,

I am looking for a solution to save attachments from teams channel message to SharePoint online lists.

I am able to get message subject and body but attachments are not getting saved as a file.

Appreciate any help in solving this problem.

    Regards,

    Kanak

I don't think there is a direct solution yet on Power Automate, but you may apply a workaround. All these posts which are sent to teams channel email, get stored on teams channel in a folder - you can explore through onedrive/sharepoint to view which location it is getting saved. The Good part is that it saves .msg as well as attachments separately, so no need to extract attachments from .msg file - create some flow to move the attachment files to desired folder on sharepoint. Hoping this helps! You may accept it as solution if it really does!
