Trying to have SharePoint list automatically pull updates from Excel file. The flow is working but duplicating the data on the excel for every pull. I only want new or modified data to be pulled. How can I edit my flow?

Thank you for your help! My apologies as I am new to this. What do you mean by unique key? And once the unique key is identified, do I import the step into my flow? Thanks!

Based on your description you are doing an upsert. Are you sure the keys are you using are unique?

An upsert is a combination of "update" and "insert." It means you either update an existing record or insert a new one, depending on whether the record already exists.

To do this, you'll need a unique key. This key helps identify if a record is new or should be updated. Examples of unique keys include a record number in Excel, an auto-generated number, or any other unique identifier.

Steps for Each Record in Excel:

    1. Identify the Unique Key: Each record in your Excel file must have a unique key.
    2. Check SharePoint for Existing Record: Look for the record in SharePoint using this key.
      • If the Record Exists: Update the existing record in SharePoint with the new data from Excel.
      • If the Record Does Not Exist: Create a new record in SharePoint with the data from Excel.
