Download data from Power BI table with the help of power automate flow

Hi Folks,

I’m trying to download data from a Power BI table with dynamic plant selection. When the process is triggered via Power Automate, I want the filtered data to be exported and downloaded in .xlsx format.

Is there a way to achieve this? Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

This can be achieved, but Power Automate does not directly export the currently filtered Power BI table visual to .xlsx in the same way as the manual Export data option.
In the flow, use Run a query against a dataset or the Power BI REST API Execute Queries action to run a DAX query with the Plant filter applied.
The result can then be written into an Excel table/template stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, and the generated .xlsx file can be emailed or saved for download.

Hi, yes this is doable. Power Automate can't directly export a filtered visual like the manual Export Data button does, but you can work around it.

Use the Run a query against a dataset action in Power Automate to run a DAX query with your plant filter applied. That gives you the filtered data as JSON, which you can then write into an Excel file stored in SharePoint or OneDrive and email it out or save it for download.
