Flow creates sharepoint issue from email

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport

I have a flow that creates a sharepoint issue when an email is sent to a shared mailbox. In my flow, I have a step to get user profile so the issue reporter is logged as the sender of the email.  However, some emails are sent from a shared mailbox and the get user profile fails. I need it to move past that point and create an issue in sharepoint.

But if you continue and you need that email address, isn't that going to cause your Item Creation to fail?????

Well if you want to get passed it.

    Go into your Flow.

Switch back to class mode by clicking the New Designer off

once that is off you will see your actions

Go to initialize variable action RIGHT after your Get Profile

Click on the three ... for that action

    Select Configure run after

    When it comes up

Check the box that says failed

Now when your Get User Profile fails, it wont stop, it will keep going.

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

I tried this and while my flow does create the ticket, it no longer adds in the user based on their profile. It comes in blank. The first line is what it should be and the second line shows the user is blank.

After the get user profile action, add a parallel action. If you just want your flow to end, add a terminate flow action. Then set the terminate action to only run when the get user profile action fails. Set your current action after the get user profile action to only run when the get user profile action succeeds. Of course, if you want to do something else when the user is a shared mailbox, you can replace the terminate flow action with whatever you need. Just be sure that the first action on the side that handles when the user profile action fails is set to only run when it fails.
