Update Document Property mapping into migrated Document Sets and inside Documents

Hi All,

I have on SharePoint 2013 Document sets and inside that document which are mapped with Document Property with with metadata from Document Library columns mapped.

Same scenario we SharePoint Online. We have some template and we are generating document on basis of template with Document Library columns mapped using QuickParts inside word documents. We are using this for new SharePoint Online with Word Business Premium connectors.

Now we have migrated Document Sets and their Document but somehow it not mapped with new Template and Properties inside Documents. As we found might be QuickParts mapping is different in SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online.

So is there any way that we can remap QuickParts document properties with new QuickParts on the existing migrated documents so we will get migrated content inside document as well as new mapped columns and migrated data.

Thanks,
Harish Patil

So, you mean in existing (migrated) documents the quick parts are not showing the correct values? But for new documents the quick parts do work, correct?

I have seen that before and with quick parts that is a challenge. I have approaches where they swapped them for content controls, those might give you some more flexibility since you can set those programmatically (and via Power Automate).

    Happy to help out 😁

Yes, in existing (migrated) documents the quick parts are not showing the correct values. We have migrated with Sharegate tool also with downloading file on local machine and uploading the same file on Sharepoint Online where our new template is working fine. We have tried both the way but not working.

But for new documents the quick parts do work, correct.: Yes as mentioned in link we are using premium connector. So it works fine.

I thing setup of Sharepoint 2013 template and Sharepoint Online template mapping is not correct. So how to correct Document Quick Parts properties according to new template on Sharepoint Online?

    Thanks,
