How to have a working link and a jpeg/pdf in calendar event description through a form?

Hi there!

I'm a fairly new user to power automate. I am creating a company event calendar. I am running a connection from a microsoft form to said calendar through power automate.

It is capturing everything I need except for two things:

  • an image (often people create graphics or fliers for the events)
  • link for more information

I have put these two fields in the form and have attempted to put the answer to those two questions into the body of the event as shown under the Create Event (V4) option in Power Automate. When doing so, the photo never shows. The link will show up in the body as just a text and not an active link.

So, the questions are:

  • Is it possible to automate a working link into the body of the calendar invite?
  • Is it possible to upload a photo into the calendar event through the above mentioned process?

See the icon in the menu of the Body field that is </>? That is code view. Switch to code view and you can code it with standard html. The code for a link is <a href="http://www.yourlink.com">Display Name of Link</a>

The image will be tricker. Try this method here it should probably work: How to Send an Email with Embedded Image in Power Automate. I've used it in e-mails, and I think it should work in the event since you can access code view the same way as e-mail.
