Message Box Displays on Secondary Monitor

When I use any of the "Message boxes" actions, they display on my secondary monitor instead of my main monitor. I've tested opening a new browser window or custom form, and these open on my main monitor.

This seems like a bug, and there is no way to reposition the Message Box once it is opened, at least from within Power Automate.

Do other people experience the same problem, and are there any existing solutions? I want to have the Message Boxes display on my main monitor for ease of use.

I have the same question (0)

I have a 3 monitor set up and just tested this, but could not reproduce it. The message box does appear on my main monitor.

Are your monitors plugged into the motherboard ports or into GPU card ports? I use a GPU, so that could be a factor.

I use a laptop and my main is the integrated laptop monitor, where the two externals are plugged into the GPU ports. I don't think that's a factor. Are you sure your main is really the one you think it is? The browser window will usually open on the monitor where it was previously opened - not necessarily the main monitor.

But the message box should by default pop up on the main one. It might also be that it pops up on monitor number 1, too.

If possible, maybe try switching up the ports, so their order switches and then see if the issue persists.

This was a good check to rule out. My main monitor was labeled as "2", and after reversing the order of the ports on the GPU, it is now labeled as "1". Oddly enough, when my computer goes through its boot sequence, the OEM logo displays on the "2" vertical monitor, not the "1" monitor. This screenshot shows the current display configuration.

The problem still persists for me, though. Out of the Actions under "Message boxes" in Power Automate, all of them except "Display custom form" open on my secondary monitor, even though the Power Automate window is on the main screen. What could explain this behavior?

FYI, you were right about browser windows opening in the last remembered location, so that's not a factor here.

I have the same problem with "Display message". I have a 3 monitors setup, the main one in the middle is set as "1", even that I always get a message box on the left one in portrait orientation set as "3". All three monitors and connected to Think Pad Dock station ("1" and "3" via display port).

"Display custom form" - is displayed on the monitor on which the last action was performed (for example "Send keys"), so I found this to be the easiest solution to the problem 👍
