Sending Response Back to Originator

A while back, I created a New Client flow.

The trigger is When a new response it submitted, Get response details, Convert time zone, Get user Profile (V2), Initialize Variable for Attachments, 4 Scope controls, then a Send an Email (V2) to AR.

The end user now wants to receive the New Client ID once AR assigns one.

How can add an additional step for AR to send back to the originator the Client ID they created?

I don't seem to be able to add a second Trigger.
I have the same question (0)

    Hey @BF-06011417-0

You can’t add a second trigger to a flow in power automate. I think the easiest solution here is to create a second flow that triggers when AR updates the Client ID (for example, in SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, etc.). That second flow can then email the originator with the assigned ID.

    Thanks

You can't normally add a second trigger to a flow and since you are sending an email to AR to create the new client ID the flow won't have access to that information.  You'll need to create a second flow that triggers when AR create the new Client ID in whatever system that is in.  That flow will have access to the Client ID and be able to send it in an email.  If its the same system as the first flow then you need to add a condition at the top of the flow to see if the Client ID is blank or not.  The trigger would be When a response is created or modified.  Then if the Client ID is there you can send the email back to the originator.  If the Client ID is blank then send the email requesting a Client ID to AR.

A simple method would be to send an adaptive card to the AR team instead of an e-mail so they can enter the new client AD into the adaptive card. Once they do, the flow will resume and you can then use an e-mail action to send it to the client. Here is a link with some information on adaptive cards: Create flows that post adaptive cards to Microsoft Teams - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

Flows can only have one trigger.
