Will a question-id in Microsoft Forms ever change?

Hi,

I have built a Power automate that's triggered by the submission of a microsoft form. It picks up the questions in the forms by the questionid, create a html report that is emailed.

If I add a new question between existing questions in the form, will it have any impact on the questionid on existing questions?

Will question ids ever change for a question, if I add or delete other questions?

In my testing the ID's don't change, but the order of the questions in the survey is not preserved. If you insert a question after Question 1 in a Survey the new item will show up last in the response details. But the other questions will keep their original IDs.

Hello @MS-21080838-0,

Adding new questions to a Microsoft Form will not change the existing question IDs. Each question keeps its own ID, and the order of the questions doesn’t matter.

Question IDs are generally stable as long as the question still exists in the form. If a question is deleted, its ID is removed, but adding or inserting new questions will not affect the IDs of existing ones.

Even if multiple questions have the same question name or label, each question still has its own unique ID.
