Add ID to List tracker from Form Submission

Hi there,

I'm trying to build a flow that allows me to add a unique ID to rows in List created through a Flow from an MS Form.

Essentially, I have a form that collects information on Intentions to Bid for funding by users. The contents of the Form are automatically uploaded to a List through a flow, which I use for tracking. However, I wanted to assign each item in the List a unique ID, to help with tracking and updates. So I added an ID column to the excel sheet collecting answers from the Form. Now I'm trying to get a flow that will update the List to add the IDs when the form is submitted.

I used the flow below but it just uploads random rows to the List...

Another option is to create the list from the excel sheet, rather than when the response is submitted. I would need a flow that uploads new rows from an excel sheet when they are added - but I can't figure out even where to start from for that...

Happy to reconsider completely if there's a better approach!

Thank you so much for the help.

Gaia

@GaiaM Can you provide more insight on the need for the List Rows Present in a Table action in your current flow? I'm not following the logic since you are also creating an item in a SP List. What's the requirement for having a list and getting items from the Excel table?

    Hi there,

Thank you for the reply - will look at the video!

The requirement for the excel is that I am making an ID in the excel sheet that I want to import into a List.

I figure out I can add a formula to create an ID straight into the list so maybe I don't need a flow after all but it would have been interesting to get it to work!
