Hi Everyone,

I have an issue with my SFTP Trigger. It isn't triggering. I know the connection is working because when I select a subfolder to trigger from, all the folders in that location are visible. I am triggering in the correct subfolder and just testing at the moment by dragging a file in but the trigger doesn't start at all. Please can someone assist.

Hi there!

I'm going to share the most likely root cause. First, remember this is a polling trigger so it doesn't fire immediately. Expect a 2-3 min delay even in testing.

Here are the other details:

1) There is no instant event from the SFTP server

2) Power Automate compares timestamps from the last poll
3) If the file doesn't look "new", the trigger is skipped

So the likely cause is it is skipping the file based on the timestamp. There's a handful of posts about it too.
