Can I send an email to different addresses using a vlookup instead of switch?

Hi I currently have a flow that retrieves responses from a form and uses a switch to send a single email composition to different email addresses based in the form input. I have switch set ups and will be expanding. I heard I can use an excel table to vlookup the response and send the email to different addresses.

This is what I started...

This is the flow we currently use with switch-

Can somebody support this flow question?

Thank you!

    Hi @Rose708 ,

Yes, you can do that.  In your Get row action, you will find your column with your vlookup email addresses.  The key here is your returned value needs to be in this format (so match this in Excel):

    tom@somewhere.com; me@somewhere.com; you@somewhere.com //email addresses with semicolons separating them.

Then in your Send Email (V2) action, you refer to the column from you Get Row.

Thank you! I think what I am missing is where to enter the vlookup formula?

    Hi @Rose708 ,

Understood.  You would enter your VLOOKUP (I prefer XLOOKUP, easier on errors) but you would enter that in the column you need in your able in your Excel sheet.

So, you may have a simply table that looks like this:

The EmailDistro column contains you VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP and that pulls in a string of email addresses separated by a semicolon.

Next, in your Power Automate, you would get the row where Department = Finance and then use the dyamic content from EmailDistro as your To: in your Send Email (V2) action.

Hi! ok Im glad you said Xlookup, i prefer that, but someone told me to use vlookup. so this is what my excel looks like. I havent formatted the mails yet, so please ignore the formatting.

In the Key Value line do I use the outputs or the Forms dynamic content?

Yes, you want to use a unique value and that looks good.
