Hi all,

We have a canvas app published to Power Apps mobile. The original creator left the organization, and ownership was transferred to a new user. However, the mobile app listing still shows the original creator's name under the app title, not the new owner's. When I click into the app and go back, the app correctly shows the new owner's name, but when refreshing the app it goes back to the original creator.

Steps we've already tried:

Transferred ownership via app Details page
New owner republished the app from Power Apps Studio
Cleared cache on mobile PowerApps

The Details page on make.powerapps.com correctly reflects the new owner, but the mobile client still shows the old name.

Questions:

Is the author name in the mobile listing tied to the last publisher's Azure AD display name, the original creator, or the owner field?
Is there a way to force this to update short of recreating the app?
Is this a known limitation?

Environment: County of Los Angeles tenant, Power Apps mobile on iOS

There is no official Microsoft documentation I found that explicitly defines which field the iOS mobile listing uses for the subtitle/author line.

However, based on Microsoft’s documented ownership behavior plus prior Microsoft/community reports of owner/display-name values not updating in app lists even after Azure AD display name changes, the mobile label appears to be tied to stored app metadata that can lag behind the current owner record—possibly originating from the original creator/owner metadata and not refreshing cleanly in the mobile list.

There is no Microsoft-documented “refresh app listing author metadata” button for Power Apps mobile that I could find. The best-supported non-rebuild action is to have an admin run Set-AdminPowerAppOwner, because this is the official ownership-reset command and Microsoft has previously indicated it can also refresh stored owner/display-name information.
