Error creating File System connection

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a File System connection to use in one of my flows, but unsuccessfully.

I tried all the other solutions posted here, such as set the root folder as a shared folder and applying the DOMAIN\user format when filling the credentials. Anyway I always get this same error:

"Failed to create connection for connection id '/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_filesystem/connections/shared-filesystem-6B581B0B-CE29-4EC7-A78C-39FF853B4989'. DMTS_EncryptClusterCredentialsErrorCode"

Does anyone have any clue on how to solve it?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi @LucasMartins ,

You can set the configuration as shown in the screenshot:

    t1.png

Select the folder you want to select, then copy its path and paste it into the connection Root folder configuration. And please take attention to the Username is Domain\Username.

I hope it can help you.

    Hi @v-bacao-msft ,

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried to set the root folder as you said, but it didn't work. Also, I made sure the DOMAIN\USER format is correct.

    Hi @LucasMartins ,

I did a test on my side, but I still can't reproduce a similar issue.

I will give you the whole steps to create a connection of file system:

    Step 1: Recreate the gateway

Check your gateway whether the last version:

    -If yes, Restart the gateway;

-If no, Install the last gateway.

Step2: Recreate the connection of file system.

Just in case, you can append the root folder to the gateway's data storage path.

It is also worth noting that we need to create on-prem data source connection in default environment.

Please have a try, if you still have problem, please contact us, I hope it will help you.

    Hi @LucasMartins ,

I am afraid that it is difficult to analyze the cause of this problem from my side.

Please consider contacting Support for further assistance.

Hi, I'm getting the same issue. tried the solution mentioned above.

    the error is-

"Failed to create connection for connection id '/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_filesystem/connections/shared-filesystem-363a225f-37c6-49c2-97f0-bdf1-6c7e5905'. error putting connection /providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_filesystem/connections/shared-filesystem-363a225f-37c6-49c2-97f0-bdf1-6c7e5905 for connector /providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_filesystem"

Can you provide with a solution?

    FIX/ANSWER:

There is no need to recreate the gateway, this error is displayed when you try to create the Azure resource in a different region (e.g West Europe vs North Europe). The gateway in PBI has to be in the same region as the GW in azure.
