New flow from Save-As Not Connecting to List

Created a flow and am using it. Works well. Utilized Save As so I could start from that working point, and use the new one to experiment/refine.Trying to attach it to a new list (which is exactly the same as the previous list with the working Flow, as it was created from a template of the original) and I can't seem get it to attach to the new list. Ideas? Thx!

To add to this...What I've noticed is that when I start on higher-level (sub)sites, a long dropdown of lists appear to choose from. By the time that I get ot the site the calendar is in, the calendar doesn't show up as a drop-down in the List Name field, even thought it's in the site.

The last part of this is the key. Seems not all lists show as connection options in Flow. Anyone know why? Selecting Enter Custom Value and pasting in the list doesn't seem to connect the flow to that list either.

    Hi @pabbott,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

Could you please share more details about your scenes?

Firstly,I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned, a Save As flow would get lists the save as the original flow.

Please take a try to test it again and let me know if your problem is solved.

Secondly, if the list that couldn't show up as a drop-down in the List Name field is a calendar list created from an App as below:

    Capture.PNG

The list wouldn't show up as a drop-down in the List Name field, even thought it's in the site, you could Enter Custom Value and enter the list name in the List Name field to get the list.

Please make sure you have entered the correct list name in the List Name field to get the list.

Also please take a try to test it again and let me know if your problem is solved.

    Best regards,

    Alice

    Alice,

Thanks for the reply. I have input the Site Address and List Name URLs throught the Enter Custom Value option, copied directly from the browser (so I know they're correct). The Flow doesn't trigger. There's nothing in the Run History. This is puzzling. The calendar is created from a template, based on a calendar that has the same flow working on it. The flow I'm using for the new calendar was a Save As.

Out of curiosity, is there a way to create a new list from a template other than using the Add an App function?

Created a simple new flow for this calendar: when an item is created, send an e-mail. Manually pasted in site and list URLs.

    Nothing in the Run History.

    Hmmmm...

    Hi @pabbott,

Have you check if the flow is turn on?

The copy flow from "Save as" would be turn off automatically, and if the flow condition is off, the flow wouldn't be triggered.

    Hello, @pabbott!

Have you had an opportunity to apply @v-yuazh-msft‘s recommendation to adapt your Flow? If yes, and you find that solution to be satisfactory, please go ahead and click “Accept as Solution” so that this thread will be marked for other users to easily identify!

I'm still struggling with this. The previous new calendar/list I made didnt' seem to connect to the Flow initially, but eventually it worked. I'm rinsing/repeating and running into the same scenario.

Is there anything that needs to be adjust on input/output of a flow that's a Save As/"Template" when applied to new lists?
