I have a SharePoint list to store Assets, then we creating a new Asset >> can i generate a barcode image and a barcode text which represents the item ID, and save them inside SharePoint?

If you're just after a simple barcode in your SharePoint list then you can enable the Site Policy feature and add the barcode option to your list/library. If that's not what you're after, then let us know.
