E-Sign Power Automate Action Licensing

Hello, I am new to the power platform and would appreciate some clarity with something I'm trying to solve.

I am trying to streamline a current business process that would benefit from using an e-sign service like Docusign or Adobe. Here's a general summary of what I am trying to accomplish:

A Power Automate flow with a Docusign/Adobe action is triggered by a user in a canvas app. The e-sign action is connected to a single user account/service account.

My question is — does the user triggering the flow need to have a license with that e-sign service in order to compliantly run the flow or is the connection with the service account enough? I am having trouble finding an answer to this. I appreciate any insight.

No, the end user does NOT need an e-sign license
A service account connection in Power Automate is usually enough

Confirming what was said above, the end user does not need a DocuSign or Adobe Sign license. The service account connection is enough.

But there is one important step to make this actually work. By default Power Automate will ask each user to authenticate with DocuSign when they trigger the flow. To prevent this and force all users to run under the service account connection:
    1. Go to the flow's detail page
    2. Under Run only users settings, find the DocuSign or Adobe Sign connector
    3. Change it from Provided by run-only user to Use this connection and select your service account connection

Once that is set, anyone triggering the flow uses the service account connection automatically and no individual license or login is required from the end user.

    Best regards,

    Valantis
