Good evening,

There seems to be some type of bug regarding Power Automate. For some reason, it adds whitespaces to values that come from MS forms.

The "Trim function" also adds more whitespaces (opposite of what it should do).

Is there a way to resolve this?

Could you please share the inputs in the MS Form submission and an image of your flow run containing the extra whitespaces?

If more information is needed on my end, please let me know.

In the first attached screenshot, the temporary fix is to account for whitespaces in the switch values.

The information below is related to the second attached image.

As seen above we have whitespace in the beginning of the value and it gets weirder. Even though it’s a switch option for the value of the MS Form shown in description above, if we process the value with the powerautomate trim function it will… add more whitespaces! How do I know? The above screenshot is actually the result of trim. Without trim it has whitespaces on the right side of the value vs the left side seen above.

The screenshots haven't come through yet.

But if you are using compose actions with expressions, make sure you haven't accidently added any spaces, for example:

Hello all. Are you able to see the screenshots below? I have confirmed that no whitespaces were added accidently and that power automate is adding it on it's own.

Hi ,
can you try this :

what i did was, copy the input using ctrl+ a and copy it and pasted in notepad, if you are seeing spaces like this .

then there is a white space, Just remove it.
