Hi,

Currently I am using PIP in the PAD, but sometimes when the windows popup in the child session, the flow stopped and not run.
So I have to restart the pip many times. Is anyone know the reason? thanks in advance

Yes — this is a common issue in Power Automate for desktop when using PIP (Picture-in-Picture) or child sessions / unattended sessions.

Usually the flow stops because the child session loses focus or a popup interrupts the UI automation. PAD is very sensitive to unexpected windows, security

    prompts, and session state changes.

Try adding a parallel popup handling logic and increase timeout

This is a known PAD PIP behavior. When unexpected popups appear in the child session, PAD pauses waiting for UI state to stabilize or because the target element is no longer accessible.

    A few things that help:

    1. Add an On block error handler around the actions that stop. Set it to continue on error and handle the popup inside the handler. This stops the flow from halting entirely.
    2. Use a Wait for window action before critical UI steps to confirm the expected window is active before PAD tries to interact with it.
    3. If the popup is predictable (like a security prompt or session warning), add a dedicated action to close it early in the flow or loop back to dismiss it whenever it appears.
    4. Increase the timeout values on your UI actions. PIP sessions can be slightly slower than attended sessions.

What type of popup is stopping the flow? A Windows security dialog, an application-specific popup, or something else? That would help narrow down the exact fix.

    Best regards,
