Hi,

I have built few alerts in Power BI dashboard, visual Card and with rules. When i try to create automated cloud data flow, i select "When a data driven alert is triggered" as the trigger. When i try to select the alert parameters, no item is listed. I check my alert in Power BI, the alert is active and i try to trigger it manually by refreshing the data in Power BI and it works fine.

I try to build data flow, when the alert is triggered, it will send email to certain people. I check all the connection, everything is fine and green checked. What may caused my alert is not listed in Power Automate? by the way, i have Premium Per User license for my Power BI.

Have you tried using the title of the alert as a custom value? Afaik that should also work:

I did try Custom Value but my flow still fail when i test it. The thing is, the alert works fine. i received the notification in power BI when i refresh the data manually from power BI.

This is my basic flow, When a data driven alert is triggered -> Outlook Send Email (V2). When i use the title of the alert as the alert id, after saving it, i test the flow. That is when the problem happens. the test takes forever and i have to force stop it by refreshing the browser (at some point, i waited for an hour for the test to finish but it still loading). I think my Power Automate is the problem since the alert works fine in power BI but im not so sure.

Based on your description, the most common root causes are:
    • The alert was created on a report visual rather than a dashboard tile.
    • The alert is in a workspace that the Power BI connector cannot properly enumerate.
    • The alert owner and Power Automate connection user are different.
    • A Power BI connector caching/synchronization issue is preventing the alert from appearing.
    Next Step

Create a new Card visual in a dashboard within My Workspace, configure a fresh data alert, wait 10–30 minutes, and then create a brand-new Power Automate

flow. If the new alert appears in the dropdown, the issue is with the original alert configuration rather than your license or Power Automate setup.

    Hello again,

Ok, i did tried the alert in my older workspace (i created before 2026), all the alerts work fine with Power Automate. all the alerts are listed in the parameters. I don't know what changes in 2026, seems like the alert that i made in 2026 workspace did not appear in Power Automate. For now, i will only utilize my older workspace for this alert issue.

Thank you for your guy's support.
