Hello Community,
I am working on a workflow to automate real-time performance tracking for our recruitment portal. The goal is to sync JSON data from our internal recruitment database directly into an Excel Online (Business) file to feed a management dashboard.
My primary concern is handling high-traffic volume without hitting the "429 Too Many Requests" throttling limit or encountering file-locking issues. This is specifically for our high-impact sections like
Dubai Jobs where data refreshes happen frequently throughout the day.
I have explored basic Power Automate flows, but I am worried about the scalability of the Excel connector for sustained ingestion.
My specific questions are:
Would using Office Scripts within the flow be more efficient at handling row-heavy updates compared to the standard "Add a row" action?
To avoid file locking during active viewing, is there a way to trigger asynchronous updates that don't disrupt the front-end dashboard?
Or, given the scale, should I bypass Excel entirely and move toward a Power BI DirectQuery model for better performance?
Looking forward to your expert insights on building a robust, enterprise-grade sync logic.
Best regards,
Haris Khan
