How to remove flows from a managed solution

Hi all,

Any one knows how to remove power automate flows from a managed solution. I have tried to this way- Firstly removed the flows from the unmanaged solution in developement env and then export it as managed solution and then tried to import, but the flows ares till there, Any please help on this.

Hi @SeenaKhan ,

Have you made any changes to the flows in the Default solution in Production? If so, there's a possibility that an unmanaged layer was created, preventing them from being refreshed during another deployment. To resolve this, remove the unmanaged layer and try the deployment again.

@SudeepGhatakNZDidnt made any changes to the flows. I have deleted the flows from my development environment, did an export and import it in a testing env. But in the testing env still the deleted flows available. Can you please give a solution on how to remove the flows from a managed solution

Your flows should appear inside the Default Solution in PROD environment.

If you delete them from there, they should disappear from the managed solution as well.

But that is just a workaround, not the recommended approach.

You should spend sometime to work out why the deleted flows show up after deployment.

Did you do an Upgrade or Update?
One removes things not in the new version, the other does not...

I am gonna try this to remove solution components from a managed solution

remove components from unmanaged solution,
clone unmanaged solution,
export
import,
stage for upgrade.
Apply upgrade
