Flow doesn't access Visual Studio account

I am trying to create a flow using the Visual Studio service and the service doesn't "see" my account

My account is not listed in the account name section. I tried entering a custom value, entering my account name, but that make no differences. When clicking on the project section, I get the following message: "Could not retrieve values. Failed to fetch: Project name".

I have successfully create a connection to Visual Studio, but that is where it ends.

Will the VSTS connection work with on-premise servers? I ask because I try to login through the connection, and I too am unable to see anything within the account name field.

Hi @Peter1 - from our investigation it could be related to the account you're connecting with, I'll message you directly with some adidtional questions.

can you tell me which user id you are using to log into the flow portal - I can check the runtime logs on our side - Please private IM me if you prefer.

I tried another operation, and creating a blank flow, rather than using a template, and I am still getting the same results.

I can confirm that there are accounts listed for my account when I go to the page that you have mentioned.

    Thanks

Checking the VSTS documentation I don't see any specific requirements outside approving the app when you login within Flow. You mentioned recreating the connection, it would be great if you could try the dropdown with another operation as well (to ensure you're not hitting a cache). If you could also confirm you're seeing a list of accounts on this page: https://app.vsaex.visualstudio.com/me that would be helpful!

    Hi,

None of the accounts are displaying. I have also tried a custom value as you have described and that hasn't worked either.

Are there permissions that need to be set in VSTS to allow Flow to work with it?

    Thanks

Re: Flow doesn't access Visual Studio account

Hi @Peter1 - are you missing a particular account or are all your accounts missing from the dropdown? If all are missing there could be an issue with your permissions that's causing the list action to fail.

The Account parameter could work with a custom value - it would need to be the account part of the VSTS URL you use, for example "contoso" if you use "https://contoso.visualstudio.com".

    Hi,

I deleted the connection and then recreated it.

When I try and edit my flow, or create a new one, there are no accounts to select from.

    Thanks

    Hi Peter1,

I just test this issue on my side, I can select my account name when I clicking the Dropdown button.

Please check if the Visual Studio connection is properly connected.
Could you try to delete the old connection and recreate it to see if it works?

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao
