Power Automate switches DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY

Hi Everyone,

I´m new to Power Automate and just found a weird problem: I’m trying to open a .csv file, copy cells (a lot of them with dates), open a excel file and paste the cells there.

The problem is that the dates are originally formatted as DD/MM/YYYY and, for some reason, Power Automate turns them into MM/DD/YYYY (which, essentially, creates a file full of wrong or inexistent dates)

Does anyone know what could be the problem? If the process is done manually everything works fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

    Hopefully this helps!

    %EXCEL INSTANCE% is the CSV

%EXCELINSTANCE2% is the regular excel file

@Ed_Churches  use the window UI elements to format the column for dd/MM/yyyy

or you can refer this: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Desktop/Date-Format-not-exporting-correctly-from-PAD-to-Excel/td-p/1255552

    Hope it helps!!

    Cheers,

    Ankesh

I can show you a little bit of the file. The columns I’m struggling with are D and E.

    Does it help like this?

    Hi,

I think Power Query will be easier to solve your problem.

Open your csv with power Query and filter if you need and load your new table in a new sheet.

You´re right! I was using power automate to also save as pdf and send as an email but, for this part, it would definitely be easier with power query.

    Thanks!
