Hello,

I am needing some assistance on the best way to create a Power automate desktop flow. This is the first time I am using RPA and was wanting to know if there was a way that power automate desktop could log me in to a site? I would like to log into the site and download a PDF, convert the PDF to Excel and send an email to specific users and then stored in a centralized repository. I have tried to record my actions. However, I am getting an error message, Failed to write in text box text box wasn’t found. The other error message I’ve been receiving our runtime errors. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I am open to a teams call or if somebody can walk me through this pad, that will be great. Also, if you have any other suggestions on how to automate repetitious processes that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you!

    Hi,

Don't use "Record" - it breaks easily. Launch browser ---"Populate text field in window" for login (use Ctrl+F12 to find exact selectors) →

"Convert file" action (PDF to Excel)
    "Send email"
"Copy file" to SharePoint. Fix errors by adding "Wait" (2-3 sec) between actions and use %UiElement.Exists% checks before clicking.

    Test step-by-step.

    Hello @Riyaz_riz11,

Thank you for your assistance. Would the action be  UI Automation or Browser Automation to “Populate text field in window”?

I neglected to mention that once I log on, I have to click a few tabs to get to the different screens to download the PDF convert it Excel.

    thank you!
