Hello,
I'm really struggling to understand why the below flow keeps failing so was hoping for some help.
I want my flow to message two people once certain conditions have been met, but the flow fails when I either try creating a chat, then posting a message to that chat OR when I post a message using flow bot in chat with flow bot to both recipients.
The error message when I setup like this: 'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.' Note, I have tried using Mail and User Principle Name, but both fail. I have also tried with semi-colons and without.
The second way I have tried like this, and this is the error message: No user details with email or UPN 'Josh@EMAIL.COM; Mark@EMAIL.COM' were found in Graph. The emails are correct and I get the same error message when I use UPN or Mail.
It's really frustrating because I can't find anything online about these error messages so I don't know how to resolve or if the issue is because the functionality doesn't work like I'm attempting.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks
It just keeps on failing
Hi @Anchov
Thank you for your previous message, that resolved it at the time but today it has stopped working and I'm getting the same error message as before 'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.'
The create the chat or post message to chat is not invoked by me, but by our generic account we use for connection in power automate. The flow worked last week as expected but no longer works.
The only thing I did change was the scope so that it picks up any agreements from my account.
I noticed this first when my connection became invalid for no reason. I re-established the connection but seconds later it stops again, I'm not sure this is related to the actual issue though.
Thanks,
Josh
Your first method should work, provided:
The person invoking the flow is not one of the members listed in this box.
You remove the trailing ';' semicolon at the end of the second email address.
Unfortunately, the second method will not work because the action does not accept more than one recipient.
If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved.
If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.
Cheers!
