MQTT API

Hi lovely community,

is there a way to get data records via MQTT API ? Unfortunately I have Web Application without Cloud HTTP API, only MQTT API.

I need to track some GPS positions but only if it will change. So e.g. every 30min firing.

Any Ideas how to get it?

BR,

Sven

What tool are you planning to use for that?  Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, something else? What are you planning to do with the data once received?  Stuff it into a database? Into a streaming dataset?

    Hi @lbendlin ,

    thank you for your response.

We have an external application which streams GPS position of a specific part.

Customer would like to have one "table" overview of all parts with the current GPS Location and the history about the process of the part (Where it has been before etc.).

I know how to work with Azure IOT hub or Node Red, but is there no way to "connect" MQTT Broker directly with Power Automate or Power Query Dataflow?

You can certainly connect to the broker but the.real question is which system should do the long term data storage? I would assume MQTT throws the messages away once you retrieved them?

    Hi @lbendlin ,

sorry for late reply. We already have found another solution. Our System can also Push some HTTP Triggers (haven't known this before).

But the Idea has been to "check" MQTT Data with scheduled daily job "one time" to get information about changes compared to last status saved in Dataverse.

Anyway, thank you for your help!

    BR,

    Sven
